This little hot spring hobbit town is tucked back into the mountains of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The road to get to the springs can be difficult to maneuver in snow so a 4WD vehicle is ideal but not necessary. Strawberry Hot Springs features five different pools, all varying in size and temperature. The park is very accommodating for visitors offering chairs and bathrooms. 4. Radium Hot Springs
​Radium Hot Springs is a primitive small pool spring located near Kremmling, Colorado. In peak months, this area can be very busy because of the hot spring and cliff jumping access. Neighboring cliffs tempt thrill seekers for a quick adrenaline rush. The springs require a mile hike to reach with a steep descent before the pool that can be difficult for some. Camping is offered nearby for overnight visitors. If you are seeking a quick adventure or day trip, consider visiting Radium Hot Springs.

3. Valley View Hot Springs
Nestled into the side of a mountain in the San Luis Valley is Valley View Hot Springs. This little village sanctuary offers lodging, hot springs, spa treatments, and camping. There are a collection of different pools on the mountainside all of which are accessed by short hiking trails, making these springs one of a kind. Reservations are highly recommended for day trips and overnight stays. Clothing here is optional so arrive prepared for anything!

2. Rainbow Hot Springs
Located near Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Rainbow Hot Springs offers one of the most serene and therapeutic  environments for a winter soak. The two pools sit on the edge of the San Juan River and require a 5 mile one way hike with 1,600 feet in elevation gain. In the winter the hike is snow covered so micro spikes or snow shoes are recommended for better traction. Along the way you will be treated with forests, rivers, mountain peak views, and waterfalls; only to be greeted with a waterfall fed hot spring! What else could you ask for?

1. Conundrum Hot Springs
Aspen might be home to some of the most beautiful hot springs in all of Colorado. Nestled deep into the Elk Mountains is Conundrum Hot Springs. Getting to the springs is a challenge in itself with a 8 mile uphill hike. The total elevation gain once you reach the springs is about 3,200 feet, so bring proper gear and supplies. It usually takes a full day to hike each way so plan accordingly. There are also a few different campsites located around the springs for your overnight stay. Soak in the views of the surrounding mountains and the experience of the best hot spring in Colorado!
